CHRISTMAS FOOD ART AND CRAFT FAIR

Sheila Whelan tells me that she has commenced the organising of the Annual Christmas Food Art and Craft fair in St. Laurence’s Community Complex . The Fair will take place on Saturday 17th December from 7pm- 10pm and Sunday from 12-6 pm and is in aid of KARE and St. Laurence’s. Cost of a stand is €40 for the entire weekend. ST LAURENCE’S COOK OFF

Forget “Come Dine with me” or “Masterchef”, St Laurence’s Complex are hosting “St Laurence’s Cook Off “ on Saturday November 3 at 8pm. A great night out is guaranteed, with fun, laughter and of course food. Admission is only €10.00, more details of people taking part in next week’s Notes.

SOUTH KILDARE ACTIVE RETIREMENT GROUP

The October meeting of the South Kildare Active Retirement Group will take place in Moone Hall on Thursday October 25 at 8pm when they will discuss activities for the winter months. Everyone welcome.

THE LATE BETTY KEATLEY

The death of Betty Keatley late of Woodhill, Narraghmore occurred recently after a short illness. Her reception took place into Crookstown Parish Church, followed by Mass and interment in adjoining Cemetery. Rev. Fr. Frank McEvoy PP officiated.

Sympathy is expressed to Betty’s sister Mary Ann Dunne, nieces, nephews, relatives and her many friends. May she Rest in Peace.

MICK HANLEY SINGER/SONGWRITER COMING TO A VILLAGE NEAR YOU

Mick Hanly singer songwriter (of Moving Hearts fame) will play a special gig in the Meeting House Ballitore on Friday October 26th at 8pm. No tickets on the night and seats are very limited. RATHVILLY GARDEN AND FLOWER CLUB

Rathvilly Garden and Flower Club will meet on Wednesday 31 October at 8pm in St Patrick’s Sports and Community Centre Rathvilly.

HUMPTY DUMPTY CLUB

The Humpties meets every Thursday at 10am in St. Laurence’s (old Clubhouse)GAA for parents and toddlers from the areas of Ballytore, Narraghmore, Moone, Ardscull and surroundings (all welcome).

MINI FASHION SHOW

Dermot Breen PRO tells us “St. Laurence’s Camogie Club is holding a Mini Fashion Show in St Laurence’s Lounge on Friday 23rd November at 8pm. There was no winner of the Lotto Jackpot of €2,000 and the numbers drawn were2/13/25. The €20 Winners were - Pat Dunne, Sharon Doyle, The Case Family, and A. Fleming. Next weeks Jackpot is €2,100 and the venue is The Harp.

DANCING CLASSES

Dancing class on Friday 31, October in St. Laurence’s Old Clubhouse, Oldgrange. Beginners 6 to 7, all other members 7 to 8.30pm. new members welcome- boys and girls of any ages.

WALKING GROUP

The Walking group meet Mondayy to Friday at 7pm in Ballitore Village. Please come along any night, bring flash light, and jacket. There is no charge and all are welcome.

THE LATE MARY CONLON

There was great sadness in Oldgrange, Narraghmore when new of the death of Mrs. Mary Conlon late of Oldgrange was announced. Her reception and Mass took place in St Ita’s Church, Kilmead and interment was in Crookstown Cemetery. Rev. Fr. Frank McEvoy PP officiated. Mary is pre-deceased by her daughter Niamh who died tragically in Australia while holidaying there. Sympathy is extended to Mary’s loving husband PJ, son, daughters, grandchildren, extended family, nephews, nieces, relatives and her very many friends. May she rest in Peace.

TEENAGE DISCO

Elaine Clifford PRO for the Seniors reports This weeks lotto numbers were 4,14 and 25. There was no jackpot winner, next weeks jackpot is €5800. WHIST DRIVE

The fund-raising Whist continues in Molly O’Looney’s, Narraghmore every wednesday evening commencing at 8.30pm. All card players welcome.

PILATES CLASS

Pilates classes take place locally in Ballitore and Moone with Stott, a certified instructor. Classes are in The Meeting house from 9.30am and 9.15pm every Monday.

YOGA CLASS

JUVENILE BADMINTON
