Intel Ireland continues to plan for possible selection for a new factory with a recent new application for a temporary car park.
The application made to Kildare County Council this months said that it would require 1,512 temporary spaces.
One site would have 987 spaces to the west of the current ESB compound and another would have 525 spaces.
The applications also seeks permission for two bus stops and 80 temporary light standards.
The car park would be located on the north edge of a site on which permission for a new factory, or fab, as they are known, was granted relatively recently by Bord Pleanala.
Company advisors have estimated that currently one car enters the site for every 1.6 staff members.
The file said that a number of construction project schedules have been changed recently as the company responded to market conditions and will now take place in a “shorter timeframe than originially anticipated.”
The company plans to reduce traffic congestion by chaning shift times.
