The Marks and Spencer store in Naas is to shut with the loss of 37 full and part time jobs.
The company announced this morning, following a review of its operations in Ireland that the store in Naas, as well as those in Mullingar, Tallaght and Dun Laoghaire would close with the loss of a total of 180 jobs.
The Naas store was opened on the Dublin road in 2007.
It was closed today and according to a press release issued by a public relations company it is intended that it willl re-open tomorrow and trade until Saturday, August 17.
The company says that the employees will be “fully supported fully during this process and unions will be fully engaged with regards to redundancy terms and conditions”.
