A small coffee shop in Celbridge has been named as one of the best in the country.
The Espresso Project in Main Street was named in an Irish Times article listing the top ten coffee shops in Ireland.
Writer, Daniel Grey said it is “as gourmet as it gets in the coffee game.
Run by, JoelBuckely, Espresso will work more directly with the Full Circle Coffee co-operative later this year and food with Bad Dog Sandwich.
Joel, a New Zealand native, started in coffee in 2007 withan espresso stall in a local farmers market.”My interest in coffee always centred on the ethics in the origins of the beans, as well as those who traded it.” He uses roasters who worked in directly with coffee farmers.
“We were really surprised to be mentioned by Daniel Grey in his top ten coffee shops in Ireland. Great for a small independent espresso bar to be included with some big hitters in the city. We’re obligated to do every bean justice.”
Joel thanked their loyal customers for “amazing feedback. “We would not have grown without them.”
