Naas General Hospital
Temporary visiting restrictions are in place at Naas Hospital today.
Hospital management is asking the public not to visit patients in the coming days as it deals with an outbreak of Norovirus, better known as winter vomiting bug.
Exceptions should only be made in the case of visits to critically ill patients.
Hospital management is also requestion that patients use their GPs or the KDoc service for medical assessments, rather than heading to the Accident and Emergency Department.
The restrictions will be reviewed on a daily basis.
This is the second appeal for visitors to stay away due to Norovirus issued this month – the last warning was issued on Tuesday, October 4.
