Off the road for drink driving

Judge refused jurisdiction in cannabis case.

Judge refused jurisdiction in cannabis case.

A man was disqualified from driving for two years at Naas District Court last Thursday, August 9.

Henryk Godlewski, whose address is listed as 20 Caragh Meadows, was apprehended by Garda on August 4 at Osberstown, Park, Sallins.

He pleaded guilty to the charge.

His solicitor Cairbre Finan told the court that his client is a Polish man and has been living and working in Ireland for the past six years.

“His younger brother has just arrived over and the disqualification will make it difficult to eable him to help his brother find a job.”

On that basis, Judge Patrick Clyne agreed to postpone the disqualification back to January 31.

He fined him €250, disqualified him for two years and ordered that the license be endorsed.
