No joy for Jedward in Eurovision

Newbridge resident Shane Shane Creevy, formerly of the boy band D-side and currently a backing singer with Jedward in Baku for the Eurovision song contest .

JEDWARD finished a disappointing 19th in the Eurovision final tonight, despite being tipped for a much higher finish.

The Swedish entrant was a convincing winner with the Russian entrant finishing second.

The results were announced tonight in Baku, Azerbaijan. The lively duo were hotly tipped to finish amongst the top places in the competition.

However, the favourable reaction to Jedward’s live performance failed to translate into votes as Sweden stormed to a convincing victory.
