New political party in Newbridge

Jason Turner

Jason Turner

former Sinn Fein representative Jason Turner, from Newbridge, has set up a new party called TÚS NUA - New Beginnings.

“Although in its early stages we have been overwhelmed with the amount of support shown to us thus far,” he said.

“My objective is to continue to actively listen and represent those within our community who are everyday living with the demands of the current economic climate. Our hope is to have as many local representatives as possible to ensure that local issues are attended to and to provide a forum where local voices can be heard. We believe in the importance of keeping politics active at a local level, We will be meeting with people from Kildare and peripheral areas including Clane and Athy over the coming weeks.

“There is a long road ahead and alot of work to be done but goals can be achieved with local people coming together to further develop our community.”
