Naas Sub Aqua Club dives for new members
NAAS Sub Aqua Club are approaching their 40th anniversary and are looking for new members.
The current membership includes divers from Kildare, Dublin, Laois, Wicklow and Carlow.
For those who haven’t dived, scuba diving can be very relaxing, other times thrilling and exhilarating. Every day problems are put aside and in five minutes a diver will encounter more wildlife than would be experienced in a week hiking in the hills or woods.
Naas Sub Aqua is one of Ireland’s most active diving clubs, with approximately 40 active divers, the club organises excursions almost every Sunday and during the summer months on Wednesday evenings as well. Most seasons, over a thousand dives are safely completed. The club is very well equipped with three rigid inflatable boats, air compressors and Nitrox blending equipment.
The club usually dives out of Coal Harbour in Dublin, Slade Harbour and Kilmore Quay in Wexford.
Other trips this season included Annaghvan in Galway, Kilkee in Co. Clare, Inishbofin, Valentia Island, Cuba and Gozo in the warm Mediterranean Sea. The club is non profit, these excursions take advantage of every group discount available and club fees go to equipment maintenance an boat fuel.
Ireland is blessed with some of the best diving in the world.
Naas Sub Aqua Club is affiliated with the Irish Underwater Council and provide it’s members with CMAS Scuba diving qualifications.
The club has many Instructors, Leading Divers, Rescue and Extended Range Divers. A select few regularly train and participate in the important work of search & recovery. One past member was recently found working as a full time Instructor on the sunny Island of Gozo.
Diving with Naas Sub Aqua Club is both safe and affordable and the club is currently taking on new members. Those interested in exploring the landscapes off our coast and beyond will be trained in full scuba equipment on Thursday evenings in the safety of the Curragh Pool during the Autumn Season, with thrilling open water dives starting in February.
Anyone interested can contact the club through it’s website www.kildare/nsac, it’s facebook page, email email@example.com or call Liam to organise a a free try dive in the pool on 087 2726699.
