Naas GAA celebrates 125 years

NAAS GAA club will celebrate its 125th anniversary on Tuesday October 16 with a number of events organised to mark the event.

Club Presidents Night is scheduled on Friday, October 12, is an opportunity for all members and those associated with the club over it’s long history to come down to the club and meet old friends. There will also be a photo display in the club and a wine reception in the club with light refreshments served, all welcome from 8.30pm

On Sunday afternoon October 14 the club will host a series of games for juvenile members (hurling, football, camogie and ladies football) from 2-4pm. Later in the afternoon there will be a medal presentation from some of Naas’ county stars followed by food, and Irish music in the clubhouse.

Tuesday October 16 is the official anniversary featuring a short presentation in the Town Hall (which is where the club was originally founded) at 7pm followed by a short service in the clubhouse at 8.30pm.

All are welcome to attend any or all of the events. The club photo display will be in the clubhouse throughout the weekend so do come in and visit at any time.
