Councillor Murty Aspell was given the title of new Mayor for Newbridge at last Tuesday’s Town Council meeting.

He takes the reigns from Cllr Damian Molyneaux. The new mayor was proposed by Cllr Paddy Kennedy and seconded by Cllr Mick Deely.

“I am delighted to be honoured once again as Mayor of Newbridge,” he said.

“I would like to thank most sincerely my fellow councillors, officials and the people of Newbridge for bestowing this great honour on me and I look forward to serving one and all to the best of my ability in the year ahead.”
