Mondello Park features in this week’s Franc’s DIY Brides television programme.

This Sunday night’s show features two biker fanatics from Courtmacsherry who became the first couple ever to marry at the racing track outside Naas.

Orla Cronin and Jerry ‘Fuzzi’ Coleman are the latest stars of the six-part show featuring Ireland’s top wedding designer Peter Kelly, aka ‘Franc’, as he helps brides on a budget design their dream wedding.

In next Sunday night’s programme, which airs at 8.30pm on RTE 1, Orla and Fuzzi have a budget of €10,000 to put together their biker-themed wedding in Mondello Park.

They have three venues to decorate and 200 guests to feed, so the budget will need a lot of stretching.

Old bike parts have to be sourced, cutting and gluing must get underway and catering has to be organised to achieve a festive look in three separate venues. A dress for the Bride is also on the ‘to do’ list!

“The venue is just as excited as we are because it’s a first for them,” said a delighted Orla before the recording.

“This is going to be a whole lot of fun!”

Tune in to RTE One next Sunday night, May 13, at 8.30pm to see how the pair got on.
