Kildare Youth Theatre’s Autumn programme

NEWBRIDGE based Kildare Youth Theatre has launched their new season of workshops and opportunities aimed at children and young people.

“All our work aims to be affordable to everyone. At most, young people pay €50 for the year from September through to August, and can avail of many opportunities to take part in international exchanges and projects once they are members,” said director Peter Hussey.

“Kildare Young People’s Arts Programme is a voluntary, not-for-profit project established by Crooked House Theatre Company in Newbridge. It is for young people aged 14 to 22 who would like to get involved in theatre, music, film and dance.”

Each of the four art-forms is managed by a professional artist: Theatre - Peter Hussey, Dance - Cathy O’ Kennedy, Music - Mick O’ Brien and Film - Mostafa Khaddem.

“Young people can become involved in as many of the strands as they wish, starting in September this year.

Our programme is kindly supported by Newbridge Town Council, Kildare County Council Arts Service, Kildare VEC, and Electric Aid.”

For further information contact Peter Hussey at 045 446612.
