Jedward make Eurovision Final after late show

RATHANGAN’S most famous twins, John and Edward Grimes - otherwise known as Jedward - have qualified for the Eurovision Final on Saturday night.

The results were announced tonight in Baku, Azerbaijan. The lively duo were hotly tipped to qualify for the final and successfully navigated the semi final hurdle to reach the grand final.

The ten successful qualifiers were announced in no particular order, with Jedward announced as number 10 - causing some jitters for the talented duo and their supporters.

The Rathangan brothers, who achieved Ireland’s highest placed finish in recent years, in the 2011 event, when they finished eighth, are expected to perform well in the final.

They were left to wait last and were one of nine acts awaiting the final golden ticket. Needless to say they cart-wheeled their way on to the main stage, once they were announced as the final act.
