It will be a racy outing of a different kind for Fifty Shades of Grey author EL James at the Curragh this Sunday.

The author of the blockbusting erotic trilogy has accepted an invitation to present the trophy to the winning owner of the inaugural Irish field Grey Horse Handicap. Sunday will mark the first time a race has been run in Ireland exclusively for grey horses.

Grey horses always seem to capture the imagination of the public in a way that few other horses can and with the hope that the race will boost our attendance and provide a real spectacle for the public to enjoy,” said Evan Arkwright, commercial manager of the Curragh Racecourse.

Admission to the Curragh Races this Sunday is €15, U25s and Seniors €8, U16s Free.
