Fifty Shades of Grey author to present prize at Curragh races this Sunday
Shades of Grey at the Curragh Races - model Hannah May Devane launches the first race to be run exclusively for Grey horses in Ireland, which takes place at the Curragh races on Sunday 26th August. The race features as part of a 7 race program which starts at 2.10pm
It will be a racy outing of a different kind for Fifty Shades of Grey author EL James at the Curragh this Sunday.
The author of the blockbusting erotic trilogy has accepted an invitation to present the trophy to the winning owner of the inaugural Irish field Grey Horse Handicap. Sunday will mark the first time a race has been run in Ireland exclusively for grey horses.
“We are delighted that EL James has accepted our invitation to attend the races this Sunday. Grey horses always seem to capture the imagination of the public in a way that few other horses can and with the hope that the race will boost our attendance and provide a real spectacle for the public to enjoy,” said Evan Arkwright, commercial manager of the Curragh Racecourse.
Admission to the Curragh Races this Sunday is €15, U25s and Seniors €8, U16s Free.
The Leinster Leader has 10 pairs of tickets to the ‘Shades of Grey’ race day to give away.
