Expert host trade-in event in Naas

Expert Naas is holding an all day trade-in event today (Saturday, May 26) with WEEE Ireland, the Irish compliance scheme for electrical and battery recycling.

Simply bring along any old appliance for recycling with WEEE Ireland on the day and Expert will give you great trade in offers in-store. The event, held in association with Kildare County Council, will take place on Saturday 26th May at the Expert Naas, Globe Retail Park, Naas.

WEEE Ireland will accept anything in the home with a battery or a plug on the day for recycling. Waste collection specialists from WEEE Ireland will be there to help you send your toasters, vacuum cleaners, fridges and every other electrical item imaginable to a better place.

Ger Ryan, Expert Naas store manager said, “We are delighted to offer our Naas customers both the chance to recycle their old appliances and save money on new items with this unique trade-in event. Vouchers have been distributed throughout Naas this week and will also be available at the store on Saturday.”

As a consumer of electrical items, you are entitled to bring your waste electrical equipment to your electrical retailer when purchasing an item of similar type, i.e. on a one-for-one, like-for-like basis. Waste batteries can be brought back to any battery retailer that sells similar batteries, even if you don’t purchase anything. All WEEE and waste batteries can also be brought to your local civic amenity site free of charge.
