ESB substation that went on fire this morning, Thursday, February 2 at 11am.

An ESB substation servicing the M7 Industrial Park in Naas went on fire this morning, Thursday, February 2.

Eyewitnesses report that that the station, which is at the rear of the premises of Finlay Ford went on fire at approximately 11am.

“There was a series of bangs out of it,” said one man who was in the reception area of Finlay’s, waiting to get his car serviced.

The fire brigade and the ESB attended the scene.
