A Celbridge mother is extremely worried following the disappearance of her fifteen year old son.

Luke Rossiter, from 6 Ballymakealy Grove, in Celbridge, has been missing from his home in Celbridge since last Tuesday.

Luke, a student at Colaiste Chiarain, in Leixlip, turned fifteen year at the end of January and is about six foot tall.

Luke last seen wearing a Navy/Grey Windbreaker jacket, Black tracksuit bottoms, green Van runners and a brown and grey hat, details slightly different those given initially.

He was also carrying a rucksack type schoolbag with black and orange stripes.

Gardai at Leixlip said that on Wednesday night, 18 April, Luke’s mother contacted them.

She last saw him around 8.00 am on Tuesday, 17 April.

It is understood he went to Leixlip to visit his brother. His brother last saw him on Tuesday, 17 April, around 7.00 pm in the evening.

Gardai say that there have been sightings of him in Lucan, Maynooth, Celbridge and Dublin.

But both the Gardai and his mother, Sheila Reidy (085-1481122) say that friends of Luke have not been able to give information leading to his whereabouts.

Sheila told the Leader on Monday she was extremely worried about her son. “He is not as tough as some think,” she said. “He is not that street smart.”

She said that friends of his have committed suicide and she is worred about that issue.

Sheila said that Luke had been missing once before but that was only for a day. This is a long time and, appealing for help from the public, she is very concerned about him.

“Nobody has seen him,” she said.

Sheila said she has been at Garda stations in Leixlip and Dublin. “Everywhere we went looking we have found nothing,” she said.

Attempt to contact Luke by phone failed as the phone was off.

Ir anybody has seen him or heard anything that could help please contact Sheila Reidy Luke’s Mother on 085 1481122 or Celbridge Garda station.
