A body has been found in the town of Bydgoszcz in Poland, close to where 21-year-old Blessington football fan James Nolan went missing last Saturday morning.

The engineering student, who had travelled to Poland to support Irleand in the European Championships, was last seen in the early hours of Saturday morning.

He had been drinking with a group of friends when he disappeared around 1.30am.

A body was pulled from the River Brdo in the city early this morning (Wednesday).

Consular assistance has been offered to Mr Nolan’s family, who were due to arrive in Poland today.
