The senior citizens of Ballymore Eustace will benefit from a young man’s heavy foot after he agreed to make a donation to them at Naas District Court last Wednesday, February 28.

Edward Lahart, whose address is listed as 3030 Liffey Heights, Ballymore Eustace, was stopped by Garda Alwyn Howard on August 26, last at Horsepasstown, Ballymore Eustace.

The court heard that he was travelling at 79 kmh in a 60 kmh zone.

Judge Desmond Zaidan heard that Mr. Lahart has no previous convictions, and wished to avoid getting penalty points.

At the recommendation of Inspector Patsy Glennon, it was agreed that Mr. Lahart would make a donation of €400 to Ballymore Eustace Senior Citizens by March 27.
