A local group of Friends of the Alzheimers Society are holding a massive fundraising night for the Kildare branch on Saturday, November 3, at 8pm in Sarsfields football club.

The night will kick off with a “Whodunnit?” style murder mystery drama - at the end of which the audience will get a chance to question characters about their motives and decide who the murderer is. The cast includes past and present members of Newbridge Drama Group and is directed and produced by Mary Linehan and Mary Doyle. A performance of songs, spanning the decades will follow.

Musical director, Mary Young, accompanied by Pud Barrett, has been putting the singers through their paces over the last number of weeks. Well known singers from Newbridge Musical Society and pantomime including Dave O’Sullivan, Michael F. Malone, Aidan Duane, Tina Gallagher and many more will perform solo pieces with chorus harmonies by all singers. A full band will accompany the group on the night. Newbridge celebrity, Brenda Donohoe will MC for the night.

There will be plenty of spot prizes on the night and a disco by DJ Liam Kett. Tickets are €10 and can be purchased at Farrell & Nephew Bookshop,or at the door.
