ATHGARVAN GAA: The club is holding a fundraising Night at the Dogs on Saturday, 3 February at Newbridge Grey-hound Track.
The fundraiser is being undertaken in conjunction with the local soccer club, Athgarvan Villa, and, hopefully, the combined nature of our venture will improve our chances of raising much needed funds for the promotion of local sport in 2007.
The GAA club will use its share of the proceeds to finance the ongoing development of the Club's facilities and to develop further its teams at underage, ladies and adult levels.
As you are no doubt aware, the local population has expanded very dramatically and each year the financial challenge of keeping the show on the road becomes greater. We would hugely appreciate your support by attending on the night.
Tickets for Admission costing 10euro are currently being sold and you can obtain tickets through the contacts below. Very importantly, these tickets must be bought before the night in order to benefit the Athgarvan Clubs.
Those interested in attending can buy tickets from Treacy's Daybreak shop, the Athgarvan Inn, or from the following club members: Athgarvan GAA - Mick Nolan (087 2704503) or Christy Shiels (087 6163724).
