A massive cast of up to 75 children and adults are rehearsing for LARK’s latest production - “The Sound of Music”, which is due to be staged in April.
The group launched the show at the Court House, Kildare town last Sunday February 9. A large crowd turned out for the event, which marks the latest adventure for the local drama and arts group.
Apart of the top quality singing and acting, LARK (Local Arts Community Culture Kildare) is also synonymous with the latest skills in production technology.
The show, which is being directed by Eoin Gannon, features a stellar cast of experienced and aspiring actors .
Last year, they impressed audiences with their unique interpretation of “The Wizard of Oz” at the Moat Theatre, Naas.
The group was formed in 2006 and their first embarked on stage with “Christmas Kicks.”
The group has gone on to produce shows such as “The King and I”, “Peter Pan”, “Oliver”, “Aladin” and “Annie”.
The show will be staged at the Kildare CMWS from April 2 to 5.
