Three Kildare footballers added their support to the campaign to beat Motor Neurone Disease last week at the launch of the second ‘Walk to D-Feet MND’.

The second annual walk, organised by the Irish Motor Neurone Disease Association, will take place in Castletown House, Celbridge, on Saturday July 19.

The event will start at 11am and all are welcome to take part.

Cathal McNally (Johnstownbridge), Tommy Moolick (Leixlip) and Fergal Conway (Celbridge) joined a host of local youngsters at the launch last week to lend their support to the campaign.

Currently there are 7 families living with MND in Kildare, and the IMNDA provides care for over 310 families across Ireland.

Registration for the 5k walk is €25 and can be paid online or on the day, all children under the age of 12 go free. This is a fully accessible route both buggy and wheelchair friendly. All walkers get a green IMNDA t-shirt. For more information see www.imnda.ie or call 1800 403 403.

Those who can’t make it to Castletown are welcome to host their own walks. The IMNDA can provide tools like buckets, t-shirts and sponsorship cards. Contact fundraising@imnda.ie for your walk pack.
