Almost 200 people gathered last Wednesday, April 16 in Hotel Keadeen, Newbridge to wish Cllr. Fiona O’Loughlin well in her quest for re-election.

Noel Shannon was MC for the event, which kicked off with a performance from Kildare Youth Theatre, whose Director Peter Hussey thanked the local councillor for her support during the years.

Special guest, Mary O`Rourke encouraged everyone to ensure that Fiona, who she described as having “a great mind and a kind heart”, was re-elected to continue her work.

She outlined how the Fianna Fail candidate’s working life had been dedicated to working with people, as a teacher in Scoil Mhuire, as the Host Town Programme organiser for the 2003 Special Olympics World Games, liaising with Europe on behalf of people with an intellectual disability.
