Athy GFC is one of the oldest clubs in Kildare, founded in 1887. Athy GFC has provided many outstanding footballers, since it’s foundation, up to the present day who have represented Kildare at all grades and indeed several county board chairmen and Leinster council delegates.

It won the Senior County Champions 2011 and the 2011 All Star award went to Michael Foley.
