A third man has been arrested in connection with last Sunday night’s incident in Ballymore Eustace.

A third man has been arrested in connection with last Sunday night’s incident in Ballymore Eustace.

Shots were fired by Gardai during an investigation into the activities of organised criminals.

As part of ongoing investigations, a third man in his late 20s was arrested on Wednesday afternoon in the midlands. He is currently in custody at Naas Garda Station under Section 30 Offences Against the State Act 1939. Another man arrested on Tuesday remains in custody at Naas Garda Station.

However, the 30-year-old man arrested at the scene on Sunday night was released without charge on Tuesday evening. A file is being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
