Top marks for Kildare school

Transition Year Maths students from Kildare Town Community School, were awarded top marks as national runners-up in An Post’s 2013 anpostschoolbag.ie educational challenge.

Transition Year Maths students from Kildare Town Community School, were awarded top marks as national runners-up in An Post’s 2013 anpostschoolbag.ie educational challenge.

With over 5,000 secondary school students from 200 schools participating in this year’s ‘Impostipuzzle’ Challenge, they have every reason to be proud.

Principal Mr Pat Flynn and Class teacher, Ms Michelle Ryan received a €500 cheque and certificate for the school while winning Maths student, Amy Scanlan received One4All vouchers.

“The online educational resource www.anpostschoolbag.ie is in its second year and has proved hugely successful in the classroom. By linking An Post mails and retail businesses with aspects of the curriculum at primary and secondary school level, it’s proving an invaluable resource for Irish schoolgoers and teachers,” said a spokesperson for the competition.
