THE St. David’s Church of Ireland, off North Main Street, Naas, host their second annual Family Fun Day today (Saturday June 23) until 5.30pm.
This year the church celebrates 800 years as a place of worship.
Last year, over 500 families passed through the gates of St. David’s Church of Ireland for the Family Fun Day. Children from the parish ran their own stalls – cup cakes, popcorn, waffles and fun games like Beat the Buzzer. These will all be back as well as stalls selling cakes, plants, books fashion and the bottle stall which will prove to be a favourite because everybody will win.
For the children there will be face painting, ice cream, lucky dip, penalty shoot out games, bouncy castle and some of the resident animals from Stonebrook Pet Farm.
Also, there will be over 15 private craft stall holders. On display will be a wide range of crafts including jewellery, knitting, soaps, pinatas, slate, usborne books, hair accessories and candles.
The raffle will have many valuable prizes including an Apple iPad 2 , leisure club membership, games console, €250 saving stamps, hotel break with evening meal or a Handmade Teddy Bear, make sure you’ve bought a ticket (€5 each or a book of five tickets for €20).
A variety of food will be on sale.
