Spate of Newbridge burglaries

Gardai are investigating a spate of burglaries.

Between 7.45pm and 8.00pm at man in his own home in the Mount Carmel area heard a noise in the front door.

At the door of his kitchen, he encountered three males at the door. When they saw him, they ran.

Nothing was taken.

In Daragh Park between 7.55 and 8.45pm, a man arrived home from Mass to find his front door had been forced and the rooms ransacked.

Gardai report that it’s not, as yet, known if anything was taken.

In Moorefield Park, a man arrived home at 8.30pm having been away since 3pm to discover that his house had been ransacked.

Entry was gained through a small window at the rear and a sum of cash was taken.

On Sunday, March 31, at Cedarwood park the owner arrived home at 7.30pm, having been gone since 2pm to find the front window had been forced, cash taken from the sitting room and all other rooms had been ransacked.
