A public meeting on crime prevention will be held next Monday night, September 26, in the CYMS Hall in Kildare town.

A public meeting on crime prevention will be held next Monday night, September 26, in the CYMS Hall in Kildare town.

Organised by the County Kildare and Naas Town Council joint policing committees, it will tackle the issue of building safer communitites.

The event will start at 7pm and all are welcome. The guest speaker will be Patrick Hanfling, programme co-ordinator of the Valuing Older People Team at Manchester City Council.

The meeting will also cover how to set up a community alert scheme, the Rathangan text alert scheme and an address by a crime prevention officer. Those who would like to attend can register their interest by calling 045 988436 or by emailing kildarecvf@gmail.com.
