The haul was found as part of ongoing Garda operations targeting the sale and supply of drugs in Leixlip and Celbridge.

The cannabis plants were discovered during a planned search of a house in Crodaun Forest Park.

A man in his 60s was arrested at the scene and was detained under the provisions of Section 2 of The Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996 at Leixlip Garda Station.

He is due to appear in court today.
