Dip in the Nip nets €10k for sick kids

The Taaffe family are delighted with the ladies who took a dip in the nip in Wicklow last weekend who raised €10,000 for their daughter Leah and Lily Mae Morrison.

As Leah recuperates after her radiation, the fund raising continues in case she has to travel to the UK to tackle this rare form of brain cancer. Last weekend, Audrey Downing held a coffee afternoon which raised €300. Tesco in Newbridge rolled over its fund raising draw.

The countdown is on for the sky dive event at Clonbullogue with a wonderful day being organised on July 27.

A bouncy castle had been kindly donated by So Fresh Entertainment and soft drinks are being provided by Tom and Helen Myglynn.

The six year-old girl from Robertstown has been receiving treatment for cancer since she was diagnosed late last year.
