Naas pharmacist Frank is 87 years young!

Well-known local pharmacist Frank O’Reilly is pictured at home celebrating his 87th birthday with grandson Finn. Frank came to Kildare from his home in Cornafean Co Cavan in 1943. His move to Kilcullen prompted by his older brother, footballing legend and Army Commandant John Joe O’Reilly, “the Gallant John Joe’.

A year after qualifying Frank and his wife Una (RIP) established O’Reilly’s Pharmacy in Naas in 1951.

Frank won an intermediate championship with Kilcullen in the late forties and was Captain of Naas Golf Club, then County Kildare Golf Club in 1961. Now retired, Frank takes a keen interest in current affairs and all sport, particularly golf.

At home for his birthday were Mark, Justin (San Francisco), Paul (Malaysia). Daughter Sally-Ann lives in Monasterevin, while John and David run businesses in Naas. Brian is continuing the family tradition in pharmacy at Vista Pharmacy Naas.
