Kildare campaigners in Kilkenny

Members of the Newbridge and Kildare branches of the Campaign Against Household and Water Taxes (CAHWT) joined their colleagues from the Campaigns in Kilkenny, Carlow and Waterford to protest in Kilkenny on Friday, May 11 last. The Campaign against Household and Water Taxes is described as ‘a democratic mass movement that is composed and directed by ordinary people who have simply had enough of government incompetence, corruption and the total lack of accountability at all levels of government’.

The CAHWT have vowed to continue to campaign, organise and mobilise until the government scraps the home tax, water charges and septic tank charges.
