Small sum of cash taken from Athy home

A house owner returned home on October 9 at 4.50pm to find their property at Oaklands, Carlow Road, Athy had been broken into. It is thought it occurred between 10.30am and 4.50pm. All the rooms were searched. Access had been gained through a rear door. A small sum of cash was taken.

A house owner returned home on October 9 at 4.50pm to find their property at Oaklands, Carlow Road, Athy had been broken into. It is thought it occurred between 10.30am and 4.50pm. All the rooms were searched. Access had been gained through a rear door. A small sum of cash was taken.

Also in Athy, a break-in occurred at Coneyboro, Athy. The owner of the property returned home at 3.45pm to find the alarm had been activated. The glass in a rear door had been smashed. The house was searched and items of jewellery were taken.

Meanwhile, a business premises on Tully Road, Kildare town was targeted on October 9. The alarm went off at 3.55am and entry was gained through the front door. The premises was searched but it seems nothing was missing.

A car was broken into at Killinthomas Woods, Rathangan on October 8. The owner went jogging at 6.45pm and returned at 7.15pm to find a side window smashed on his car and a HP laptop taken.

A shed on the Green Road in Kildare town was also broken into between 12 noon on October 8 and 2pm on October 9. The owner returned home to find garden tools including a lawn mower and strimmer had been stolen.
