Johnstownbridge drugs raid - two appear in court

Aidan Dorrian, 40, whose address is listed as 58 Claddagh Road, Ballyfermot and John Breen, 53, whose address is listed as 692 Johnstownbridge face charges relating to possession of the drugs found, and possession of the drugs for sale or supply.

Judge John Coughlan remanded the two men in custody to Cloverhill Court next Friday, October 25.

The matter of legal aid was deferred. It is understood that a bail application will be made at next Friday’s sitting in Cloverhill.

The two men were arrested following a raid involving the Garda National Drugs Unit in Johnstownbridge.

Gardai say they have recovered drugs worth an estimated two million euro in what they’re describing as a “sophisticated mixing factory” for cocaine and heroin.

Gardai also seized what they’re describing as ‘mixing agents’ at the scene.
