THE search for missing teenager Cormac Clare around the Kilteel area has been scaled back.
The decision to reduce the level of resources deployed on the operation was made following an intensive search of the area, which began a week ago.
Hundreds of local people as well as emergency services personnel have trawled the fields and roads around the Clare family home and an intensive search of the area took place last Saturday.
It is understood that the main focus of the investigation will now concentrate on alleged sightings of the Naas CBS student as well as any other relevant pieces of information which materialise.
“There are no developments and there is nothing definite to go on at this stage. A lot of work has gone into this and a lot is going into it and we will follow up on any information that comes to hand,” a Garda spokesman told the Leader yesterday (October 29).
The 18 year old was last seen in the vicinity of his home on Monday October 22 at 2am.
