kildare crooner Jack L has been confirmed as the headline act for the Newbridge 200 concert on Sunday 16 September taking place in the car park of St. Conleth’s Park.
“As a Kildare man myself, I am delighted to be performing at Newbridge 200 and am really looking forward to the gig,” said Jack.
The concert is just one of a line-up of events running from the 6 to 16 September which will include a spectacular parade, concerts, exhibitions, street theatre, horse racing and an exhibition GAA match with a fireworks extravaganza to close the festival.
The day will be made up of an exhibition match, the concert and a dramatic fireworks display. Best of all the concert and fireworks are absolutely free and the committee promises it will ‘ ‘be a great day for all of the family’.
The concert will run from 4pm to 8.30pm after the GAA match and will be followed by fireworks.
Jack has just returned from a week of shows at Edinburgh Arts Festival, where he received rave reviews from the international press. He is concluding another whirlwind year, which has seen him perform concerts around Europe, Britain and USA
During the summer he was in USA where he did a run of shows including a performance at the prestigious Lincoln Centre for the Performing Arts, the home of the New York Philharmonic, where he sang as lead vocalist with the legendry Nelson Riddle Orchestra, to an ecstatic reception.
