Kildare Mayor, Micheal ‘Spike’ Nolan, officially cut the ribbon at the launch of an exciting new food venture in Newbridge, The Coffee Bean Cafe last week.
A large crowd was in attendance, to witness the opening ceremony of the new business venture, run by a young local family. Ronan, John and Jennifer Sheridan, are from nearby Ailesbury Park and head Chef Ronan Sheridan, who started his career at the Curragh Lodge Hotel, hopes to bring an American Diner style with a modern twist, to the Cafe’s menu. The Cafe is located in Roseberry, not far from Newbridge College and was previously known as The Tarokayla Bakery, owned and managed by Mary and Derick Phelan. The Cafe is open six days a week 8am-6pm Monday-Friday and 11am-4pm on Saturdays.
“Its a wonderful addition to the Newbridge Community and its great to see a young local family involved, starting up a new business in the town,” said Mayor Nolan. “I wish them all the very best for the future” The Cafe will continue the fine baking tradition of the Tarokayla Bakery and will ensure that the local community in Newbridge, will benefit from its role as a meeting place for the people of Kildare.”
