NUI Maynooth is seeking permission to build a number of modifications around its North Campus.

The university is looking to build new cycle and pedestrian lanes on the campus road from the Moyglare entrance. A new boundary wall and fence would be built around the Village and River student apartments, while the north boundary fence would be upgraded.

The proposed plans would also see a new security building constructed on the campus.

The plans were submitted to Kildare County Council on Tuesday 22 May along with a second application, which would see a service road extended to connect with the car park behind the John Hume building to allow for delivery access. No decision date has been given for either application.
