Naas rugby star Jamie Heaslip took time out of his Leinster and Ireland schedule to celebrate Elvery Sports’ raising of €60,000 for the Irish Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children.

The sports chain, which has a branch in Naas, sold over 30,000 beanie hats around the country in recent months to raise money for its chosen charity, the ISPCC.

Commenting on the amount raised, Anne Cooney of the ISPCC said: “Every euro raised helps us work with more children to build better, brighter futures”.
