An extension is planned for the Steam Museum at Lodge Park, Straffan to house a workshop for the display of engine models.

Robert Guinness wants to erect a new glazed entrance porch to the reception area, and build an extension to accommodate Ron Jarvis’s workshop and his collection of early road transport engine models. The application also seeks to replace the roof to the building containing the entrance shop, toilets workshop and storage. The application was lodged on March 16 and submissions can be accepted by April 19. A decision is due on May 10.
