Junction 14 appeal development levies

The Junction 14 Motorway Service Station has appealed the development levies charged by Kildare County Council to An Bord Pleanala.

The council had granted permission for the expansion of the facility and applied levies of over €180,000.

However, Lidon Ltd, has queried the financial contribution and lodged an appeal.

The company was granted permission for the entire development, incorporating deviations to the original plans. It also sought permission for two new fuel pump islands, additional waste water treatment capacity, and an eastern extension to the existing parking area to provide 22 additional truck parking spaces and 32 new staff car parking spaces bringing the total of truck spaces to 42 and car spaces to 184.

An Bord Pleanala is due to makes its decision by December 23.
