An amateur photographer from Newbridge is making a name for himself in the world of theatre, landscape, architectural and urban exploration photography.

Niall Moore, who describes his passion for photography as ‘mainly a hobby’, says he never leaves home without it.

“A lot of my stuff is of old buildings and places around Kildare,” he said.

“Take photographs of what they look like now- I love finding old buildings, graveyards, old churches. I ask family members the history of the buildings and I enjoy that element of getting the whole picture and imagining the life that used to be lived. Baroda is full of old buildings, stables, farms that have completely gone into disrepair.”

Niall has travelledto New York, San Diageo, Arizona, and the camera always comes with him.

“The camera comes where ever I go,” added Niall who is an assistant manager in a soft furnishing store in Dublin. “All my shots are shots of opportunity. I am self taught I just bought the camera and went from there but I would like to make a career out of it.”

Niall has set up his own Facebook page called NiallMoorephotography which has accumulated 114 likes to date. “I am an amateur,” he said.“Its mainly a hobby of mine but I have got bits of work from it with theatre groups in Dublin.”
