The launch of the Kildare Down Syndrome (KDS) Night at the Dogs, to take place on Saturday 16 February next, was held at the Greyhound Stadium in Newbridge on Saturday last.
“The theme of the event is a good value, family friendly night to raise much-needed funds for the Kildare branch of Down Syndrome Ireland speech therapy programme,” said Cora Purcell, secretary with KDS.
“We will offer individuals, companies and families a great night of fun and entertainment, with monies raised going to support Kildare Down Syndrome.”
“The Kildare branch of Down Syndrome Ireland is a voluntary organisation. The branch offers a wide variety of activities to our members on the North and South of the county. These activities include speech therapy, early development groups, playball, pottery, drama and swimming and social activities.
“Family tickets for the night cost just €20 – two adults and up to four children – and individual tickets are €10. A dining package is also available €40 per person – includes three course meal, admission and race card. Only proceeds from tickets bought in advance will go towards Kildare Down Syndrome. We hope you will join us all for a great night”.
