Robbery at knife point

A masked lone raider made off with a sum of cash from a Monasterevin garage shop after he threatened the cashier with a knife, writes Niamh O’Donoghue. The man, who was dressed from head to toe in black, was also wearing a balaclava.

A masked lone raider made off with a sum of cash from a Monasterevin garage shop after he threatened the cashier with a knife, writes Niamh O’Donoghue. The man, who was dressed from head to toe in black, was also wearing a balaclava.

He entered the Topaz garage on the Rathangan road, Monasterevin at approximately 8pm on Friday February 17. The cashier was forced to hand over a small sum of cash and the man left the store on foot through alleyways and lane ways. The cashier was unhurt but was seriously shaken. There was nobody else in the store at the time. If anyone has any information in connection with this incident they are asked to contact Monasterevin gardai on 045 525322.
