KILDARE North TD, Catherine Murphy has welcomed Kildare County Council’s decision to refuse permission for a seven metre high sign and changes in delivery times and noise generating activities at the Lidl site on Maynooth Road, Celbridge.

KILDARE North TD, Catherine Murphy has welcomed Kildare County Council’s decision to refuse permission for a seven metre high sign and changes in delivery times and noise generating activities at the Lidl site on Maynooth Road, Celbridge.

The council said the flagpole sign at the entrance would interfere with the views from the adjoining Famine Graveyard and would injure the visual amenities of the area. It said alterations to the hours and days of operation of machinery would be “seriously injurious” to residential amenity and would depreciate the value of local properties. The Lidl store is currently under construction.
