Kildare County Council has announced it is lifting the night time water pressure restrictions, which were imposed on certain parts of the county over the past week.

In a statement released today, it said: “Having regard to the announcement by Dublin City Council that production at the Ballymore Eustace Water Treatment Plant has increased, and improvements in storage at treated water reservoirs, Kildare County Council is now in a position to lift night time water pressure reductions which have been in place at some locations in the county.

“Increased output level from our River Barrow source, supplying areas of mid and south Kildare, will continue for the moment, to supplement the water supply in the

county. Kildare County Council wishes to thank consumers for their co-operation and assistance during the period of water pressure restrictions. Notwithstanding the

above there is a need to conserve water at all times and consumers are encouraged to visit www.taptips.ie which provides easy to follow and valuable tips on how to

conserve water.”
