GARDAI have warned householders about leaving engines running in unoccupied cars following thefts in north Kildare last Friday, December 2.
Three cars were stolen in the Royal Meadows area of Kilcock as their owners attempted to defrost the car.
The engines were left running while the owners, preparing to leave the houses, were absent.
Garda Sgt Aengus Hussey of Leixlip Gardai station said the owners were absent for no more than five to ten minutes.
The thefts took place in the morning time.
Meanwhile at Barnhall rugby club, Leixlip, on Thursday night, 1 December, three cars were broken into at the club premises. An iPhone and wallet were taken. The incident is believed to have taken place around 8pm.
